Kim Chiu reunites with director Chito Roño for “Ghost Bride”

In a recent Instagram post, Kim Chiu wrote a long, heartfelt message for movie director, Chito Roño. She says, “They say nakakatakot ‘pag [Direk Chito] ang director mo, but for me, mas gusto ko nang matakot [kaysa] maging relaxed at kampante. I salute directors [who] are honest to their artists.” (“They say it’s quite intimidating when Chito Roño is your director, but for me, I’d rather be intimidated than to be complacent. I salute directors who are honest to their artists.”)

She also shared how his words of wisdom helped hone her craft as an actress. In the end, Kim also thanked the director for their countless bonding moments during the shoot of their upcoming film, “Ghost Bride,” under Star Cinema.

This is Kim and Roño’s third major project together, a horror masterpiece about the Chinese culture of ghost marriage, where one or both parties are deceased.

The movie also stars Matteo Guidicelli, JC Santos, Jerome Ponce, and Alice Dixson, among many others. Filming already began early this year, with several important scenes shot in Nepal.

Watch out for “Ghost Bride” in cinemas nationwide soon.
